Million Meals Committee
The Million Meals Committee was founded by The Coordinating Council of Broward in 2001 with an ambitious five year strategic plan to fill and maintain the food pantries throughout the county. During the first year of Children's Service Council  support, the Million Meals Committee exceeded its goal by collecting enough food to provide Broward’s needy residents with a total of 1,021,493 meals! millionmeals.org

Chef Chair and 3030 Ocean Executive Chef Dean James Max, along with  special guests, Food Network and Galavision/Univision celebrity Chef Ingrid Hoffman, the star of Pressure Cook, Chef Ralph Pagano, and BIG 105.9 morning show hosts, Paul and Young Ron, were on hand for an incredible night of fine food, scintillating spirits, wonderful wine and a whole lot of fun with the single purpose to end childhood hunger in our community.

This year, funds raised through Taste of the Nation will support No Kid Hungry™, Share Our Strength’s campaign to end childhood hunger in America by 2015, as well as other international efforts.
